Professional worked case — dining room

This is not presented as a real client project. It exists to make the professional Room Record prove that one room can survive the whole chain without a second record, a hidden assumption or a stage that only looks complete because its fields are filled.

The room starts with a measured 31-inch circulation pinch and evening glare. A reversible furniture test opens the ordinary serving route to 42 inches before money is released. The existing table stays. Lighting, rug, purchasing, conditional approval, trade verification, installation and a later performance recheck all remain attached to that same decision history.

Measured

31 in → 42 in

The route was measured before the change and again after final placement. The table was not replaced because the reversible test showed that replacement was not needed.

Purchased

$3,400

Fixture, rug and electrical verification/installation are recorded against a $7,800 room boundary. Quotes, lead-time sources, receiving and installation events stay in the sourcing history.

Still unknown

Winter glare

The September recheck cannot establish a December sun condition. The project closes without manufacturing that evidence; the seasonal condition remains named for a later observation.

What the case exercises

The professional layer has to carry consequences, not just notes.

Before commitment

Field measurements, client requirements, three rejected alternatives, a frozen test hypothesis and a later reading support the chosen layout.

After commitment

Discipline-specific specifications, sourcing events, a conditional approval, electrician stop condition, installation observations, punch closeout and the seven-day recheck remain attached to the same Room Record.
